About Us The Aravali Education Society (AES) was established by agroup of concerned citizens as a voluntary non political, Non- profit makingsocial service organization in 1996. It was registered on 17.05.1996 under theSocieties Registration Act 21 of 1860. Under the provisions of the Delhi Societies, Registration Act, it has the option to operate in all parts of India. The Society operates under the guidance and administrative control of adistinguished group of individuals belonging to Professions such as Engineering, Medicine, Research, Management etc. The main objectives of the AES are to promote educations,employment opportunities, health, social reforms and communal harmony byproviding quality education at primary, secondary, Sr. Secondary and vocationallevel. In this context special attention shall be accorded to the problems ofrural backward minorities. With a view to achieve these objectives, it isenvisaged that creation of an educational structure capable of responding tothe need of the future generation of educationally backward population withspecial emphasis of science and technology. Envisaged that scientifically andeconomically strong society rich in values and moral standard will emerge. Initially,the society decided to carry out in depth studies to identify the area ofoperation and to undertake planning measures commensurate with the requirementof the area to achieve its main object. In this context, data obtained fromeducation surveys conducted under the aegis of various State Govts. and NGO’s(non government organizations) revealed that in the Mewat region of Haryana andRajasthan the levels of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment and social ills aremuch higher then elsewhere in North India, Analysis reveals that the theseproblems are attributable to low level of education in the population mainlydue to lack of proper educational facilities in the region. When history was witnessing a paradigm change insocioeconomic environment of Haryana, a small southern pocket, Mewat, refusedto come out of stagnancy and backwardness and took shelter in its own nest ofunemployment, poverty, child marriage, dowry and the worst of all ignorance. Aneed to bring a change has been felt. Instead of cursing the darkness it isbetter to light a candle. We are proud of the beginning that has beeninitiated..... ........TRANSFORMATION through EDUCATION No doubt it’s a daunting task, but we have accepted thechallenge and are ready to have patience and go miles before we sleep.Necessity is the mother of invention and discovery. Late Saiyid Hamid, FormerVice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University and the then President of theSociety, started searching for a suitable person and ultimately he got successand discovered a worthy son of the Meocommunity. The name of this devoted, dedicated and committed person was Mr.Mohd. Israil who accepted the challenge.......... Mr. Mohd. Israil, the main person and nucleus of allacitivities of the society is an educated, highly enlightened and motivated sonof Mewat. Mr. Israil has started a movement of awareness in the heartland ofMewat. He was born and brought up at his native village Gulalta in TehsilPunhana (Mewat). Though his father, Late Haji Mohd. Moosa Khan was an ordinaryfarmer yet he gave high education to his son from Aligarh Muslim University andMr. Israil became the first Graduate Engineer of entire Meo Community in 1964.He reached to the level of Senior Superintendent Engineer in UPSEB and retired inMay 1999 when he was posted at Lucknow. He has invested his family inheritanceand savings of entire life in the development and establishment of AravaliPublic School at Moosa Nagar, P.O. Firozepur Jhirka (Mewat). Aravali Public School opened on 01.07.2000 by AravaliEducation Society (AES) upto Primary Level as a Residential, Co-education,English Medium School with all necessary facilities primarily for the purposeof providing quality education to the students in a congenial environment.TheSchool’s vision goes beyond the achievement of academic excellence. It includesa radical change in attitude weaning the students away from narrow thinking andrising to his/her full potential. The school inculcates assiduously, the habitsof regularity, cleanliness, punctuality and orderliness. The students aregroomed to provide leadership in various spheres of life to their community andtheir Country. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of SecondaryEducation (CBSE) Delhi upto Senior Secondary level (XII) in the streams, ofArts, Commerce, Science (Medical), Science (Non-Medical). EIGHTEENTH batches of+2 are already out. All the pass outs are pursuing higher studies in variousprofessional courses like Engineering, Management & Medicine. An APS AlumniAssociation got registered by them.
